Mitchell S. Nudelman, MD, JD, FCLM, has been licensed to practice medicine and law since 1986 and 1991, respectively. He has been a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Legal Medicine since 1993. A native New Yorker, he has practiced in Georgia since 1991.

After more than twenty years predominantly serving defense counsel, insurance carriers, and employers in a very wide range of cases involving medical care issues and other medical-legal matters, which often involve multiple medical specialties and complex medical facts, Dr. Nudelman now works for those who are injured. He specializes in personal injury, professional negligence (malpractice) and other areas where Medicine and the Law collide. His past insider experience – including working with many of the premier defense attorneys in Georgia and many other states – has given him invaluable insight into what might be expected from the other side in litigation.

Dr. Nudelman also has vast experience locating, retaining, and then preparing expert medical witnesses. His unique education and training in both law and medicine enable him to help litigation teams navigate extremely complex medical-legal cases, even cases with pressing, rapidly approaching deadlines.

Dr. Nudelman graduated from the University of Rochester (NY) with a BA in Biology, where he did research at the medical school in RNA tumor virology. Studying abroad in Spanish he earned his medical degree in 1983 from the Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago (UTESA). After completing a three-year residency program through Temple University (PA) in Family Medicine at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE, he attended the University of Miami (FL) School of Law full time at night, while practicing medicine during the day.

His credentials and diverse roles include the following highlights:

• Member of the Georgia Bar in good standing since 1991. In 2019 his law practice recovered millions in damages for his clients.
• Holds active and unrestricted medical licenses in Georgia (1990) and Florida (1986) and South Carolina (2018). Dr. Nudelman has never been reprimanded by the Bar or any Medical Board.
• Board Certified in Family Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine for more than three decades (1987 to 2018), although he no longer sits for the written examination for maintenance of certification.
• Served as the sole authorized Medical Peer Review Physician to the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation for more than a decade (1998 to 2010).
• He is honored to be a Fellow of the distinguished American College of Legal Medicine. Fellows of the American College of Legal Medicine have been trained and schooled in medicine and/or law, and the vast majority holds both MD (doctor of medicine) and JD (doctor of law) degrees.
• Dr. Nudelman has vast experience as a Medical Director and medical consultant. The medical review company that he founded and still serves as Chief Medical officer – Medical Director Solutions, LLC – serves many Fortune 500 companies, large insurance companies and employers.
• He is an expert on credentialing of physicians, medical necessity, workers compensation and disability determinations, having reviewed tens of thousands of cases over his career.
