A physician with three decades of experience, Roderick E. Edmond, M.D., J.D. is both a respected medical doctor and a leading trial lawyer. Dr. Edmond focuses his litigation practice in the areas of medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and defective medical devices.

Dr. Edmond has a long track record of service. After earning his biology degree from Morehouse College, he received his medical degree from Duke University in 1987. Dr. Edmond also won one of the largest jury verdicts in the state of North Carolina in a non-death nursing home negligence case. At The Cochran Firm, he also resolved the civil suit for the widow of a D.C. postal worker who died from an anthrax infection acquired through the Brentwood Postal Office.

Six months after opening the doors of his own law firm in 2003, Dr. Edmond settled a multimillion-dollar suit against a company that distributed defective biomedical material to a patient. His firm also represented a number of the victims and widows from the 2008 Imperial Sugar Refinery explosion in Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Edmond also litigated a multimillion-dollar federal lawsuit against private defense contractors on behalf of widows and victims of torture in the infamous Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.

He is a member of the American Medical Association, the National Medical Association, The American Bar Association, The National Bar Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

An active member of the Atlanta community, Dr. Edmond lives with his family in Inman Park.
